We are seeking exceptional candidates to join our growing autonomous vehicle (AV) business team! Autonomous vehicles are an important part of Ford’s future and we are looking for the best and brightest. The role will require enterprise-wide critical thinking, leading cross-functional professionals, and a “get it done” attitude to help make strategic decisions that will enable Ford to be a leader in autonomy, connectivity, mobility, customer experience, and analytics. As the Markets Manager, you lead the exploration and activation of in-market activities across deployment markets for Autonomous Vehicle partnerships for Ford as we execute business pilots with multiple external partners across different commercial applications.
Responsible for managing all aspects of in-market activities across deployment markets to ensure AV deployment plans are progressing properly
Engage in community immersion and outreach in each of our deployment markets, working closely with the AV Partnership Manager to determine with which local partners to pursue a partnership that is aligned, complementary, and beneficial to all parties
Maintain constant dialogue with deployment market execution teams and in-market teams to ensure strategic alignment across activities
Utilize and ingest data to develop insights and strategies across markets. Work closely with Data Analytics team to make business decisions based on data analytics.
Communicate deployment market learnings and results to the AV leadership team, and engage in cross-functional discourse, brainstorming, and business planning to further the overall AV business strategy and future actions
Develop a Market Playbook based on deployment market learnings to ensure successful AV deployment at scale; rapidly iterate learnings to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of each successive market entry
Identify/monitor trends, changes and disruptions in the deployment markets and deduct implications for Ford’s Autonomous Vehicle
Understand customer requirements in deployment markets and ensure in-market operations provide products and services to meet customer needs
Challenge actively (constructively) and voice strategic concerns
Act seamlessly across Ford Motor Company to initiate and drive strategic projects across the organization to further the Company’s progress with Autonomous Vehicles
Ensure rational and fact-base decision-making based on sound analysis and evaluation
Collaborate with other members of the Autonomous Vehicle team
Job Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required
2+ years of work experience involving project management
Master’s degree is preferred
5+ years of work experience involving project management
Excellent project leadership skills to drive topics with multiple stakeholders/interest
Significant experience in data analysis and utilizing data to inform business decisions.
Excellent social and communication skills to be able to work with and lead in very different team settings
Great flexibility to take on multiple different projects and to work in a dynamics team environment
Able to foster mutually beneficial relationship with partners at all levels of the organization, across multiple skills teams – both within the Company and with strategic partners, suppliers and joint ventures.
Experience working on projects involving multiple geographic locations across the United States is a plus
