Position Overview/Description:

Ford’s Global Data Insights and Analytics (GDI&A ) IT team is looking for a Developer that embrace Lean/Agile practices. The Hadoop Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing solutions for Hadoop Data lake to support data landing, Ingestion and security

  • Design and build solutions for Ford’s Hadoop data lake environment
  • Develop prototypes to validate interactions and prove product designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and create solutions
  • Work with Product Managers to document user stories and features

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in software development (Java)
  • 1+ years of experience in Hadoop (Hive, Ranger, HBase, Kafka, HDFS, Spark)
  • 1+ years of experience working in agile based delivery teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Data modeling and database design concepts (Oracle , SQL)
  • Test driven development experience
  • Development experience using Spring API
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team Lead experience
  • Motivated and self-starter
