Ford's Workforce Planning & Analytics team uses data and insights to improve decision-making about people. As a People Scientist on this team, you will lead best practice projects to inform talent initiatives (e.g., engagement, well-being, performance, leadership, collaboration) that are global, enterprise-wide, and transformational in nature. You will leverage external research and internal data to understand Ford's talent landscape today and help shape its future.
Identify, merge, prepare, and analyze people data to answer business questions
Proactively look for opportunities to drive business value through the use of people data
Design and manage surveys to collect employee opinions/sentiment
Create and present high-impact visualizations and compelling recommendations
Lead research studies to explore new and different ways of managing people
Develop and track workforce metrics that align with business priorities
Use external research and best practices to innovate people practices
Train HR partners on relevant data/analytics skills
Job Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree in a field emphasizing people research in organizations (e.g., Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Dynamics, Business Analytics, Economics, Management, Organizational Behavior, Data Science, Computer Science or Engineering)
1+ years of experience using analytic approaches to understand relationships among variables/data points (e.g., linear and logistic regression, organizational network analysis, SEM)
1+ years of experience using data preparation/analysis/visualization tools like R, Python, SAS, SPSS, Alteryx, Tableau, and/or QlikView
Experience conducting research in an organization or consulting environment, including formulating questions with customers, collecting and analyzing data, generating insights, and sharing results with various types of audiences
Natural curiosity to solve complex problems in creative ways
Drive to enhance people science through innovative and calibrated risk-taking
Ability to communicate complex ideas/findings clearly and concisely
Interest in emerging analytic methods such as text mining, NLP, machine learning, and deep learning
Knowledge of best practices and research supporting excellent measurement and/or survey design
Familiarity with designing and programming online data dashboards
