Job Description We are seeking an individual with an interest in implementing Plant Floor Systems in core and integrated Stamping environments. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with installing or operationally supporting plant floor applications in either Vehicle Operations or Powertrain plants. As a member of the In-Plant Implementation team, you will be responsible for the continued deployment of OnTrackMIS, along with additional ancillary Stamping applications. In that role, you will be responsible for the integration of new Stamping and Body Construction tooling deployed to North American VO sites in support of New Model Program launches. Candidate will work with vendors and internal application development and support teams to install, test, and debug Stamping applications and their interface to production tooling. He/she may also direct the efforts of others, including agency personnel or third party application integrators, depending on the project assigned. The candidate will be responsible for timing their deliverables to the VO Cycle Plan, including use of Clarity to set and manage project milestones. Assignments will be in support of programs at any of the Ford vehicle assembly plants in North America.
The candidate will also participate in In-Plant Implementation’s New Model Program studies, acting as the lead responsible for accurate forecasting and estimation of Stamping IT costs for meeting program requirements. New Model Program study activity will require the candidate to coordinate their deliverables with other study team leads where Stamping IT requirements will have impact on other IPI deployments.
Develop and strengthen relationships with business partners at North American core and integrated Stamping plants; identify and communicate business requirements to BIT
Manage budget for Stamping requirements in New Model Program launch projects
Engage IPI team to process vendor quotes and orders, and track order delivery to sites
Manage launch project milestones, and coordinate scope with North American VO Cycle Plan
Attend and participate regularly in NMP status meetings, to report progress and escalate issues in need of resolution
Work with business partners to ensure launch support requirements and costs are accurately forecasted and submitted to MBO as part of New Model Program study
Knowledge and use of CPMM Financial Management tools (Clarity, DORF)
Although this position is based in Dearborn, Michigan, the job may require occasional travel to plant launch sites in North America during critical phases of each new model program, or as needed to support project scope
To support New Model Program build events (TT, PP, MP1&2) the position may be require non-standard hours
5+ years of experience implementing plant floor computer applications
5+ years' Project Management experience
3+ years of Microsoft Office application suite experience
Effective team player
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all levels of operating management
Prior experience with Clarity a plus
Prior experience in a metal stamping environment a plus
Strong interpersonal skills to build close working relationship with customers
