Position Overview/Description:

We are looking for a marketing professional to manage Advanced Product Marketing for select vehicles and technologies
providing consumer insights for future products and services, analyzing markets, and assessing opportunities. The work includes collaborating internally with consumer marketing, product development, program management, and finance team members. The work also involves coordinating input from internal marketing personnel in global regions.

  • Provide global marketing voice-of-customer input (customer insights) into vehicle and technology programs that will launch in 3-5 years (advanced products and services)
  • Work with Market Research organization to identify research efforts for new products
  • Develop profiles of target customers; present customer insights and papers for approval to management
  • Conduct studies to assess customer opportunity for new product entries
  • Identify automotive technology customer wants and priorities
  • Transition consumer understanding and product priorities to downstream Marketing organizations

Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree
  • 5+ years of work experience in brand positioning or marketing strategy
  • 2+ years of experience using MS Office Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA a plus
  • Strong analytical abilities to collect data from multiple sources and interpret it for consumer insights & strategic application
  • Strategic & Creative thinking - ability to synthesize ambiguous concepts into a cohesive, actionable strategy
  • Self-starter capable of operating independently and adapting to dynamic needs
  • Project management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and manage deadlines
  • Strong communication, facilitation, interpersonal skills and ability to work across variety of functional areas/skill teams
  • Market research experience as part of marketing strategy and positioning work preferred
  • Experience with automotive industry data
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and connectivity
  • Familiarity with automotive role in the ‘internet of things’ and ‘smart vehicles’
