Position Description/Overview:

Ford Motor Company's Global Data, Insight, and Analytics (GDIA) organization is looking for a seasoned business professional that has a deep understanding of dealership fixed operations and data management. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest global subject matter experts that are transforming the automobile industry.

The candidate must be able to work with the business team to gather requirements for data needs, determine the correct path to provide the data and work with the IT and analytics communities fulfill the data needs. This individual will monitor data quality, troubleshoot data quality issues and prescribe resolutions. The position is also the face of the data team to the dealership and company employees.

This role requires a detail oriented, creative technologist, comfortable working in a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, able to work with a variety of customers and manage and prioritize competing customer demands and deadlines, while maintaining the daily business processes upon which the division operates.


The Unified Database (UDB) Business Engagement Specialist is responsible for:
  • Engaging business partners – primarily in the sales and marketing organizations – on the identification, requirements gathering, prioritization, development and delivery of database enhancements, reporting and data integration solutions to support various programs and processes.
  • Leading the continuing evolution of UDB, working together with our IT business partners on prioritizing and completing work streams around both production issues in current state, and planned enhancement efforts.
  • Ensuring data quality and credibility in UDB by identifying, managing and providing resolution to concerns from business partners who utilized UDB; this could include issues both internal to Ford, and issues generated with data being collected at our dealers.

Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related quantitative field.
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing business and customer needs, including data collection.
  • 2+ years of project management experience, including comprehensive planning and scheduling of multiple projects simultaneously and on time.
  • 2+ years of experience translating business needs and technical concepts into effective solutions
  • 2+ years of experiencing working with Dealership Fixed Operations
  • 2+ years of experience with managing supplier relationships and deliverables

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with Dealer System Providers
  • 3+ years of experience with dealership parts and service data metrics and reports
  • Prior Global work experience preferred
  • Outstanding ability to simplify, clarify and communicate complex subjects
  • Self-starter, high level of initiative, detail-oriented and ability to multitask
