Job Description Job Summary: Ford Motor Company is seeking self-driven and creative individuals who are interested in the field of Artificial Intelligence/Robotics, specifically natural language processing applications (e.g. enterprise Chatbot, Digital Assistant). The ideal individual loves to solve challenging problems and will not stop until a solution meets all the requirements. Attention to detail is imperative. The individual can work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse and talented group of internal researchers, engineers, and inventors.
This position is located at the Ford Research and Innovation Center, is a technology research facility in Palo Alto, California. The center focuses on cutting-edge technologies and development of Autonomous Vehicles, IoT/Connectivity, Software, and Mobility innovations.
Develop cognitive application prototypes that solve issues using leading AI technology frameworks
Optimize NLU model by implementing NLP systems, performing intent classification and entity extraction, and user testing
Develop and maintain digital conversational flows, dialog
Research, Architect, Prototype, and Test Dialogue Management system and Natural Language Generator
Connect to data source (e.g. multiple xml documents) and query database
Collaborate with research teams working on a variety of deep learning and NLP problems
Produce documentation to update and influence various levels of management about overall project status
BS in Computer Science
2+ years of experience in the fields of Natural Language Processing, Dialog System, Contextual Understanding, Machine Learning
3+ years of experience with C++, Python, C#, Java and/or Node.js
1+ years of experience in one or more AI platform, e.g. IBM Watson, Microsoft Azure, Google Api.Ai, Facebook Wit.Ai, Microsoft Bot Framework
Experience with developing and training neural network models
Experience in human-centric design deliverables and execution of the design thinking approach
Hands-on experience with deep learning technologies or familiarity with state-of-the-art deep learning toolkits
Desire and ability to work in a rapid development environment
Possess strong technical communication skills (both verbal and written) and be able to apply these skills to convey technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences
General understanding of Deep Learning
Strong understanding of REST calls and can read/write documentation
