Ford Motor Company's Global Data, Insight, and Analytics (GDIA) organization is looking for a seasoned analytic professional that has a deep business understanding of data science. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest global subject matter experts that are transforming the automobile industry.
The Reliability Scientist within the Reliability Analytics Group will perform a range of reliability analysis tasks (see job responsibilities below) in support of Global PD, Manufacturing, Automotive Safety Office, and other requesting organizations.
This role requires a detail oriented, creative technologist, comfortable working in a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, able to work with a variety of customers and manage and prioritize competing customer demands.
Failure rate modeling & prediction
Recall decision-making support & spare stock allocation
Design reliability support (design alternative/improvement evaluation, lab to field reliability correlation, reliability target demonstration [design life confirmation], root cause analysis)
Warranty data analysis and early detection of emerging reliability concerns
Statistical warranty forecasting
Masters degree in engineering, statistics, operations research, mathematics, or related field
4+ years of experience in Reliability/Survival analysis, such as:
Nonparametric (Kaplan-Meier) estimation
Parametric distribution analysis
Proportional hazard modeling
Accelerated life test (ALT) and degradation data analysis
4+ years of experience in repairable system & recurrence data analysis, such as:
Nonparametric MCF/CIF procedures
Renewal Process, NHPP, G-Renewal Process
Repair Effectiveness Estimation
4+ years of experience with analytical tools and programming, such as:
SAS, SAS-JMP, R, Minitab, Matlab, Mathematica, or Python
Ph.D. in engineering, statistics, operations research, mathematics, or related field
8+ years of experience in Reliability/Survival analysis
8+ years of experience in repairable system & recurrence data analysis
8+ years of experience with analytical tools and programming
Machine learning applications in survival analysis
