Position Duties

  • Perform maintenance Senior Process Coach responsibilities for site that includes Livonia Transmission Plant, Power House, Waste Water Treatment Facility, and shares aspects for ATNPC;
  • Support development of Maintenance Operating System and Environmental Operating System;
  • Lead process improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale, and environment;
  • Lead and coordinate the installation, rehabilitation, demolition, and grounds maintenance for the site;
  • Manage inventory for projects, demolition, and facilities maintenance;
  • Manage all work order hours for Center Area Facilities Engineering;
  • Champion of preventative maintenance tasks as well as all state, city, and company mandated safety and environmental requirements;
  • Review equipment and machinery breakdowns, in addition to facility items and project scope, to prioritize and manage corrective actions;
  • Liaison between production, MP&L, UAW, State of Michigan, City of Livonia, outside contractors, and vendors;
  • Supervise the facilities environmental engineer, fluids engineer, power house electrical engineer, project installation / demolition supervisor, building maintenance supervisor, power house supervisor, and contracted cleaning and grounds maintenance services;
  • Lead and coordinate manpower planning for plant operations and shutdown periods to support production and project work;
  • Work with team in Best in Ford initiatives – including planning and implementing actions for reductions and cost savings for energy usage, waste to landfill, hydrocarbons, and water usage;
  • Represent the Company, as needed, in daily interactions with UAW business and Labor Clearance meetings;
  • Plan, prepare, organize, and control shutdown and maintenance activities;
  • Hold weekly Leaders meeting to coordinate and prioritize activities;
  • Review Work Orders for work prioritization;
  • Review departmental spending to ensure process compliance;
  • Coordinate and review weekend and daily overtime for Center Area

Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years maintenance troubleshooting in a Manufacturing environment
  • 1+ year Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years automotive experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of constraint management principles
  • Safety and Quality experience
  • Prior experience managing a unionized work force
  • Robotics and conveyor system experience
  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls
  • Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
