Position Description/Overview:

The Business Engagement Manager serves as the primary ICI interface to multiple US businesses. Supports service delivery by using strong collaboration, communication and problem solving techniques.


Responsibilities:

  • Serves as key ICI interface with business partners. Includes:
    • Understanding business’ objectives and determining how ICI can support achievement of objectives
    • Determining initial requirements and identifying ICI resources required to execute those requirements
    • Gaining approval from stakeholders to execute projects
    • Managing the ICI roadmap for the businesses supported
    • Communicating progress and issues to business partners through formal governance and informal communication forums

  • Facilitates interactions among GDI&A teams (Data Ops, Infrastructure, R&D, Legal, Finance, etc.) in keeping with Business needs
  • Monitors project status, support delivery of items on the critical path, assist in risk identification and mitigation
  • Monitors ongoing use of ICI services, identify risks/mitigation, opportunities
  • Promotes understanding of ICI (data, services) and the need for Business support




Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree is required
  • 5+ years of experience in a business engagement role
  • 5+ years of experience in customer data and analytics


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MA/MS Business degree
  • Ability to work directly with business and IT leads to gather business requirements
  • Ability to plan, develop, and implement projects/ programs that generate profit and the courage to reject those that do not
  • Ability to effectively communicate ICI integration activities / results in written and verbal formats
  • Ability to plan, develop, and implement projects/ programs that generate profit and the courage to reject those that do not
  • Ability to effectively communicate needs, proposals, etc.
  • Ability to develop business cases and successfully gain support to execute
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate large-scale change
