Ford’s Global Data Insight and Analytics (GDIA) organization collaborates with business partners in marketing and sales, product development, manufacturing, purchasing, warranty, and other Ford skill teams to define problems, identify data source, and deliver analytic solutions. Our mission is to drive evidence-based decision making by providing timely, actionable, and forward-looking insights to our business partners.
The Order-To-Delivery (OTD) Analytics Supervisor reports to the Manufacturing Analytics Manager under Manufacturing & Supply Chain Analytics of GDIA. The responsibilities of the open position include:
Lead a team of data scientists to support data and analytics needs in the area of Order-to-Delivery (OTD) including Global Order to Delivers (GOTD) from Business Partners
Leverage experience and domain knowledge in OTD processes and databases to help data scientists identify and define analytics opportunities
Develop and manage OTD related analytics projects, plan resources, ensure on-time delivery, and quantify project benefits
Collaborate with other GDIA functions for data and infrastructure support
Effectively leverage GDIA global resources to deliver OTD analytics projects
Collaborate and manage relationships with business partners
Communicate analytics results with customers and management
Job Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other technical and business fields
3 years of experience in Order to Delivery, Order Fulfilment, or other related business process
3 years of experience in practicing Data Analytics, Operational Research, or Optimization
Master’s or PhD in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other technical and business fields preferred
Capable of working with data scientists to translate real-world business problems into analytics formulations and interpreting analytics results with non-analytics business partners
Demonstrated track record of project development, management, and implementation
Experienced in supervising a highly motivated team
Strong collaboration and communication skills, ability to engage with upper management, peers, and subordinates
