Job Description
Key responsibility of this position is to build, validate and deliver bug free diesel engine control software On-time for every software release. In addition, this role is also responsible for creating Rapid Prototype software as required by the programs.

Position Duties:
  • SW Integration engineer responsible for Diesel SW integration and SW build for production, and experimental SW build using ATI NoHooks and other RP build environment.
  • Integrate Object files from various Ford internal and external (supplier) SW sources, Validate the build through vehicle level testing, and Deliver the software using Ford SW release process.
  • Technical expertise in SW tool and build environment - Accurev, Rally and Jenkins SW build environment.
  • Align with Global Diesel SW tools and processes, enforcing common global practice in NA.
  • Detailed knowledge of how to resolve compilation and linking issues with the hightec compiler.
  • A good understanding of how to re-arrange the memory map to handle cases where the SW doesn't fit in memory.
  • Experience of building software in Jenkins and resolving build issues.
  • The ability to understand and set the rules in Accurev to build required content.
  • An understanding of how to stub around interface issues and RP the resulting interfaces.
  • Rally planning experience of integration tasks.
  • Be able to explain and resolve "evil twin" issues in Accurev.
  • Be able to build and export Ford plug-ins to Bosch.
  • Have a good understanding of the changes in the latest pi_scripts releases and how to apply them.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree with a technical specialization.
  • 3+ years of SW build and integration for control systems software


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Demonstrated work experience with Accurev, Rally and Jenkins SW build environment
  • Working level knowledge of C, Matlab and Simulink
  • Understanding of modeling, simulation, and testing techniques
  • Familiarity with software configuration management tools
