Use a Six Sigma approach to improve all areas of the business
Implement and lead Ford NA Six Sigma strategy within manufacturing plant
Coach Plant OCM, Black belts and Green belts in strategic problem solving and Six Sigma methodologies
Coach, lead and assist problem solving teams at Ford facilities and suppliers
Teach Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt classes, Help prepare students for certification
Coach and teach Ford Production System methods including standards and project selection
Coach and mentor Black Belts and Green Belts to use 6 Sigma tools properly and complete projects
Run 6 Sigma Kaizen projects to support resolution of significant issues
Lead 6 Sigma continuous improvement projects to resolve significant issues
Liaison with other business units on best practices and 6 Sigma knowledge
Support implementation of Ford Production System standards and continuous improvement tools
Drive implementation of continuous improvement methodology and sustainability strategies with plant leadership
Provide Ford Production System assistance and training to the plant as required
Coach and teach Ford Production System methods including standards and project selection.
Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
Interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant management team members
Demonstrate an ability to resolve diverse problems
Work well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessary
Work and multi-task in fast pace environment
Teach Quality Operating System methods and principles
High School Diploma or GED
Master Black Belt Certified
3+ years of manufacturing production in a union environment
3+ years of working with Microsoft Office experience
3+ years of years of managerial experience leading teams
Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering discipline or strong manufacturing experience preferred
7+ years of manufacturing production experience
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Experience with implementing and sustaining continuous improvement strategies
Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
