System Engineer – Systems, Architecture & Functional Safety (AV) position offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Leverage a model-based approach to architecting, defining and analyzing complex systems involving a mix of hardware and controls for electrified vehicle powertrains for Autonomous Vehicles.
Requires a master's or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
2 years of experience developing powertrain or chassis driver controls
2 years of experience using Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow
2 years of experience performing systems engineering, controls engineering, or software engineering and development
2 years of experience testing and solving problems in simulation, model/hardware in the loop systems, and prototype vehicles
2 years of experience designing and refining control systems and developing and managing their interfaces
1 year of experience performing requirements definition, decomposition, systems or controls design, trade/concept studies, and design, verification and validation
1 year of experience using or building behavioral (analytical or descriptive) models of a system
1 year of experience modeling the behaviors of systems
1 year of experience conducting trade studies
1 year of experience applying ISO 26262 functional safety standard
