In the field of analysis of advanced automotive systems and controls optimization methodologies for electrified vehicles, the hired candidate will:
Conceptualize and realize control strategies for energy management of electrified powertrains
Develop and apply analytical and vehicle system simulation based methodologies for optimizing energy management of electrified vehicles
Interact with product development organizations in Ford to provide support and solution for advanced technologies in vehicle programs with electrified powertrains
The work will cover a range of applications spanning existing production HEV systems through to future electrified commercial, performance and autonomous vehicles.
Master, ME, EE, Automotive Engineer
1+ years’ applied experience with MATLAB/Simulink software is required
PhD in Electrical, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
Working knowledge of vehicle performance, grade, tow requirements, and longitudinal vehicle dynamics is highly preferred
Knowledge in autonomous vehicles behavior, and requirements
Knowledge of medium & heavy duty powertrain behavior and requirements
Knowledge and experience of electrified propulsion systems and related systems analysis methodologies
Knowledge in battery, electric motors, transmissions and engine behavior
Knowledge on other programming languages
Strong written and verbal communication
