Job Description
Design, validate, and maintain on-board diagnostics (OBD-II) for gasoline engine controls. This is a design and development opportunity for an individual interested in engineering OBD-II software features. OBD-II is organized into major diagnostic monitors such as adaptive fuel, catalyst, evaporative system, misfire, EGR/VCT, O2 sensors, and comprehensive components monitors. The introduction of new product technologies and more stringent government regulations combine to provide the motivation for evermore challenging OBD worldwide.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, SME and/or BS-Computer Science/Engineering
  • 3+ years developing or integrating PT diagnostics
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing embedded control algorithms (C/C++)
  • Expertise in use of calibration development tools
  • Familiarity with and access to Ford Motor Company test facilities
  • Perform Vehicle, Dyno & Software Debugging
  • Knowledge of Government Regulations (CARB), Industry Standards (e.g. J1979), and FMC specifications (e.g. GGDS)
