FordPass DevOps IT is looking for a well-rounded software engineer that embraces Lean/Agile and Extreme Programming practices. In this environment the Software Engineer is expected to work in a pair development model part of the time, and individually part of the time. They are also required to support multiple product teams spanning the FordPass and Lincoln Way mobile apps globally. They will collaborate directly and continuously with product managers, software engineers, and business partners to release early and often. The position location is currently in Allen Park with a planned move to nearby Dearborn. Responsibilities:
Develop, enhance and support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and pipelines
Consult with product manager to identify minimal viable product and decompose feature set into small scoped user stories.
Pair with other software engineers to cooperatively deliver user stories.
Solve highly complex technical problems using industry best practices.
Use the test driven development methodology to realize the technical solution.
Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform
Create documentation to support external and internal customers
Work independently in an ambiguous environment
1+ years of experience with Objective-C or Swift, iOS SDK, and Xcode.
1+ years of experience in Mobile Application development, Support, Infrastructure and AppStore submissions/releases
1+ years of experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and pipelines such as Concourse, Jenkins, Fastlane, Docker, GitHub, HockeyApp, Slack, Pivotal Tracker, etc.
Experience in paired programming and Test Driven Development (TDD)
Experience with IaaS concepts and OO Design Principles
1+ years of experience working with global teams on complex projects, and external suppliers
Highly effective in working with other technical experts, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers and business stakeholders
A natural curiosity and desire to understand and even contribute to the entire technology stack
Knowledgeable with the Ford standard development environment, technologies and tools
Ability to document complex systems, and to create detailed play books and test plans
Analytical experience in trouble shooting complex systems, and conducting performance testing and tuning Experience/knowledge working with Azure
Demonstrated experience with office productivity tools such as MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Experience improving existing processes and leading teams to implement changes.
Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills, including experience presenting solution alternatives and proposals
Strong drive for results and ability to work independently
Self-starter with proven innovation skills
