Job Description
The Business Analyst’s role is to devise and design business process requirements for all data related critical to core organizational functions. This includes researching and analyzing data in support of business functions, process knowledge, and systems requirements. The Business Analyst is also responsible for proactively generating and compiling reports based on his or her findings, complete with recommended improvements to – or new requirements for – business processes and operational procedures. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, a technical acumen, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of data investments and to assist in implementing data platforms.

Responsibilities include:
  • Conduct research on data products to justify recommendations for data collection, analysis, data monetization, data retention, and recommending ways to track the health of the initiatives programs built or managed by Digital services.
  • Defining Analytics Product & Road Map to address all business needs and future use cases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product, engineering, operations, marketing, finance, and sales teams to unlock new opportunities for growth
  • Ability to manage, understand, and create business analysis tools and techniques (i.e. user story mapping, process maps, rules matrices, mockups etc.)
  • Ability to develop business requirements, understand impacts and identify potential issues across various processes, departments, products and lines of business.
  • Ability to manage the expectation of business owners, subject matter experts and key stakeholders. Comfortable interacting with senior leadership
  • Identify, assess, and document business requirements, recommend business priorities, and advise on business options, risks, and costs.
  • Document the Use Cases and Functional Specifications from project business requirements, data flows and exchange between systems.
  • Conduct research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit
  • Gather market research materials to assist with market analysis and industry insights

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience using data to facilitate business decisions; high growth, technology management consulting, or business intelligence background preferred
  • 2+ years hands on experience in working with large amounts of data.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering
  • Detail oriented - demonstrated capability and experience in project tracking, gathering, analyzing and tracking data
  • Outstanding organizational skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment and rapidly growing team
  • Ability to work across multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and to recommend and implement informed choices
  • Proven ability to work independently, proactively and efficiently within established guidelines and procedures
  • Supply Chain or Transportation industry experience
  • Experience in Modern data architecture.
  • Inherently curious and believe in the power of data to drive decisions
  • Experience in Data management, BI and Analytics is an added advantage.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work in a self-guided manner
  • Strong attention to detail and delivery track record.
  • Excellent communication, presentation (both oral and written) and influencing skills
  • Experience using MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Visio
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
