Job description:

Driver Assist Technologies & Active Safety Development Engineer position offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI). Translate customer usage and expectations, corporation wants and needs, and public domain requirements into vehicle level requirements and performance targets. Interface with program team to develop and confirm program content. Develop DV test plans and complete sign-off.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering or a related engineering field
  • 3 years of experience developing driver assist technologies, including radar or vision systems
  • 3 years of experience: performing CAN and GPS data collection
  • 3 years of experience performing data analysis in MATLAB, including image processing
  • 1 year of experience developing collision warning and mitigation systems for vehicles and pedestrians
  • 1 year of experience programming and utilizing in-vehicle and test track robotic equipment
  • 1 year of experience performing product engineering and product sign-off for a global company
  • 1 year of experience applying EuroNCAP protocols for autonomous emergency
