  • Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
  • Communicate well, both written and verbally
  • Build Launch Team Member capability during launch of 2020 MY Programs
  • Create a conducive work environment for the Launch MP&L team to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
  • Responsible for Launch material handling functions for the facility and for the department
  • Ensure proper material flow from receiving dock, to warehouse storage location, to the production line feed location, to the delivery of finished product to customers
  • Provide direction and support in the allocation of resources in order to appropriately cover material handling responsibilities during Launch of 2020 Programs
  • Lead and manage unionized hourly personnel as it relates to Launch of 2020 MY Program
  • Ensure flawless introduction of new parts to production through proactive planning and cross-functional communication
  • Effectively implement the Engineering Change Process
  • Support Ford Production System and synchronous material flow through lean manufacturing practices
  • Able to work all days & shifts

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of experience in Material Planning and Logistics related to launching new products
  • 10+ years experience with Lean Manufacturing principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems, Applied Engineering Science, Packaging Engineering, or Business Management
  • Safety and MP&L experience
  • Knowledge of constraint management principles
  • Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Experience with Material Handling processes in a Manufacturing Plant
  • Ford Plant experience
  • Prior experience managing a unionized work force
