Position Title: Human Resources Generalist

  • Deliver HR products and services, including labor agreements, in accordance with applicable employment laws, regulatory agencies, regulations, policies, and practices (e.g. ethics, health and safety)
  • Provide personnel planning direction to operations utilizing organizational development and change management tools and processes
  • Coach, counsel, and educate operations partners on HR policies, processes, programs and strategies
  • Build strong relationships with operations partners, Union representatives, HR colleagues and experts, and other business partners to jointly deliver business objectives and resolve issues
  • Foster an effective, inclusive work environment / culture and relationships, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company goals and values
  • Analyze data and use technology to proactively identify and diagnose business needs / opportunities and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Support operations management in action planning related to employee engagement and morale
  • Support HR efforts related to investigations, governmental inquiries / charges, grievance resolution, performance and absence management, complaints of unfair employment practices / discrimination, and disciplinary action
  • Willing to possibly relocate outside of SE Michigan
  • Work shift hours as needed

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in ONE FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
  • HR Business Partner experience including project management, change management and/or organizational development
  • Strong communications, interpersonal, leadership and computer skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (unionized is preferred) with demonstrated negotiations and conflict resolution capability
  • Willing to work in a manufacturing environment
