Position Overview/Description: We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the technical aerodynamics involvement of Ford Performance in all professional racing series in which we participate with the goal of winning races and championships while advancing the company’s innovation and technical process for aerodynamics.
Lead aerodynamic development of race cars in all series in which we participate
Engage with our Ford Performance racing teams in all series
Engage with the race sanctioning organizations, NASCAR, IMSA, FIA, ACO, SRO, others relative to rules and balance of performance
Establish and execute leading edge methods and process for CFD
Establish and execute leading edge wind tunnel testing methods
Partnership with aerodynamics organization working on the development of mainstream road car – sharing CFD and tunnel process/methods
Partnership with Ford Performance Motorsports Simulation team for advancement of our simulation tool and our driving simulator
Potential for involvement in Ford Performance road car aerodynamics work
Travel is required for this role
Job Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Engineering is required
5+ years of experience in technical aero position, including experience with technical tradeoffs
Masters of Science in Engineering preferred
Prior racing team experience
Demonstrated passion to win
Demonstrated technical acumen in aerodynamics and overall vehicle engineering
