Job Description
We are looking for a Load and Performance and Automation Test Lead/Architect for the Product Development projects that are: large, complex, have global team members and frequent launches using agile development practices. The role is to lead the effort to design and develop Load and Performance tests, create, maintain and execute Automated tests and explore new avenues of test automation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop Test Plan and Strategy for Performance and Automation Testing.
  • Lead the efforts in Load and Performance, Test Automation activities in the Agile development projects.
  • Analyze Test Scenarios and plan the frameworks needed for Performance and Automation Testing.
  • Develop Load and Performance and Automation test scripts for very complex and large web-based applications using HP ALM/HP LoadRunner, QTP and Selenium and Cucumber frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies including build and deployment practices.
  • Analyze and provide performance and automation testing estimates and POC along with ROI.
  • Ability to collaborate with architects and technical resources at all levels of the organization to understand technology direction and solution design to effectively integrate testing process, techniques and frameworks with the objective of increasing quality while reducing manual test efforts.
  • Review testing tools and processes with project team and provide instruction in their use to the testing team.
  • Build knowledge on the existing and new Test Automation tools and understand their integration with Automation frameworks and Test Management tools.
  • Hands-on and guide the automation team while providing architecture/design for automation related topics.
  • Monitor / track the progress of the prioritized topics while working with the Automation and Performance engineering teams.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7+ years of IT experience with 5+ years as Performance Test Developer/Lead.
  • 5+ years of experience Java design and development.
  • 5+ years of experience on HP ALM, HP UFT, HP LoadRunner, and ReadyAPI.
  • 3+ years of experience on Selenium Webdriver, Cucumber and Java.
  • 3+ years of experience on scripting languages (VBScript, Jscript).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile methodology.
  • Working knowledge of test methodologies in the areas of continuous, integration, system, exploratory testing, performance etc. and applying them in an agile environment at different phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Strong debugging & troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor test specialists across the teams.
  • Effectively work in a global team.
  • Good understanding of iterative development methodologies.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Good communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening.
  • Knowledge of Programming languages (C, C++) is a plus.
  • Exposure to other testing tools (like Rubberduck, Web Inspect, Postman and Jmeter) is a plus.
  • Prior Ford experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to paired programming and test driven development is a plus.
