Job Description
We are looking for an IT professional to manage our IT relationship with our internal engineering business customer. You will work with engineering business unit to develop the strategy for software application and hardware infrastructure to meet design and engineering need. You will also work with IT application and infrastructure development team to define and implement solutions to support business strategy and requirements. As a business relationship manager you serve as an IT contact person for our internal business customer regarding their future Software application need. Therefore you will analyze and benchmark new technologies on the market to help improve our business process.


This particular business relationship management position will focus on Digital Factory area that will help Ford to implement full 3D digital representation of our manufacturing plants and production lines to enable pre-production launch digital simulation and verification and support facility and line construction as well. This position will be based in our Dearborn, Michigan campus but will communicate with our global manufacturing engineering business units to develop the common global IT strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with global manufacturing engineering business units to develop application strategy for Digital Factory
  • Interface with IT application development team to define and deliver IT solutions
  • Financial planning for application development and software license consumption
  • Benchmark the application technologies and drive for innovations
  • Software vendor relationship management
  • Business customer support and issue escalations

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree
  • 3+ years experience in CAD or engineering application use or support
  • 3+ years experience in engineering customer relationship management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and organizational skill

  • Strong communication skill, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to develop the common strategy

  • Ability to understand and benchmark technologies and work with outside vendors

  • Ability to learn and understand Manufacturing Engineering business process

  • Self-motivated and eager for success
