Position Title: Controls Engineer

  • Work with the maintenance & production teams to resolve day to day manufacturing concerns
  • Perform bottleneck analysis for cycle time & performance for plant floor operations
  • Identify & upgrade obsolete controls
  • Engineering changes and improvements
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery
  • Strong problem solving skills

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of controls experience
  • 1+ years’ experience in Microsoft Office
Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls
  • Electrical Background (electrician or technician)
  • Familiarity with VFD’s, encoders, network/Ethernet controls
  • Siemens Step 7, Siemens protocol, WINCC, 611U, S120 Servo Drive 1, 840D CNC experience
  • Working knowledge of cognex vision
  • ABB or Fanuc robot experience
  • Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics
  • Strong understanding of conveyors system programming, in addition to networking understanding, Ethernet, Profinet, remote IO, AS-I, ProfiBus
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
  • 5S, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping experience
  • Experience working with quality team to improve error proofing
  • Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
