We are seeking a powertrain designer to join our Ford Performance Motorsports team. This individual will be responsible for modeling racing engine components and systems. The position will be located in Allen Park, MI and may include minor travel.
Computer Aided Design – Design of engine, driveline and chassis components
Powertrain design is primary focus – complex modelling of cast and machined engine components required
CATIA V5 proficiency required and Pro/E proficiency strongly preferred
Actively participate in group design and program meetings
Interface with CAE analysts and external design partners at race teams
Surfacing with Alias or CATIA (preferred, not required)
Associate degree required
3+ years of engine design experience using CATIA required
Bachelor degree preferred
Knowledge of engine performance and operation preferred
Modelling proficiency with Pro/ENGINEER highly preferred
Experience in Class A Surface Modeling a plus
