Ford’s Palo Alto Research and Innovation Center is looking to hire a team of Cyber Security Research Engineers. The engineers will split their time between hardware, software and radio research. The engineers will have an opportunity to work on exciting new projects related to Autonomous driving and other exciting projects coming out of RIC Palo Alto. Engineers will also have the opportunity to interact with the larger security and startup ecosystem that exists in Silicon Valley.
Research Cyber Security Projects
Perform penetration testing on internal software
Evaluate secure architecture of other teams
Participate in software and hardware hardening discussions
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering
4+ years experience performing cybersecurity design testing and research
Knowledge of SDLC as it relates to security
Ability to scope, lead and participate in a penetration test of software and/or hardware
Ability to mentor non-cybersecurity peers
Secure coding knowledge
Knowledge of secure boot, code signing and secure execution
Experience with one of the following:
SDR / GNU Radio
Wifi Security / Cracking
Bluetooth / Zigbee / ZWave security or cracking
JTag/UART/Serial debugging / reverse engineering
Machine vision systems
